Hisoka looks like a magician or a fool. He is tall and fair-skinned and very muscular. His clothing is usually adorned with different suit symbols (♦ / ♦ ♣ / ♣ ♥ / ♥ ♠ / ♠), and he changes outfits in each story arc. He wears a star face paint (★) on his right cheek and a tear (💧) on his left cheek, and like his clothes, his complexion occasionally changes color in the 2011 anime. Hisoka wears the Greed Island Ring on his left middle finger during the Greed Island Bow. And on the 13th ballot of the chairman of the hunter, Hisoka wears a pair of earrings with decorative hearts. For reasons unknown, Hisoka has long, pointy nails that give his hands a claw-like appearance and indicate his sinister nature.

Hisoka Morow is a hunter and a former member of the Phantom Troop. His physical strength took third place in the group. Always on the lookout for strong opponents, he would spare those of great potentials like Gon and Killua so that they could become strong enough to actually challenge him. He originally served as the primary antagonist of the Hunter Exam Arch and the secondary antagonist of the Heavens Arena Arch.
