The Blindfold: Fit, Comfort, and All-Night Wear

The red satin blindfold is the most important item in the Kenshi Mortal Kombat cosplay and needs to stay securely in place across a full convention or Halloween event. Before tying it on, position the mask so the lower edge sits just above the cheekbones and the upper edge clears the forehead. Tie the rear knot firmly but not tight enough to cause pressure on the sides of the head. If the mask has an elastic band, adjust the strap length so it holds without pinching. During the event, carry the sword loosely in one hand at the side rather than raised or extended. For photos, raise it to attack position only briefly and with awareness of the space around you. A shoulder strap or fabric loop threaded through your belt can serve as a hands-free carry option when you need both hands free and want to keep the Kenshi Mortal Kombat costume complete.

For cosplay, focus on sharpening the face: apply a matte bronzer along the temples, the hollows of the cheeks, and under the jaw to add shadow and structure.
