Halloween Costume Ideas For Characters With Tails in 2026

A tail is a small, cheap detail that does a surprising amount of work, Catra's feline edge, Squirrel Girl's bushy signature, the White Rabbit's nervous energy. It's often the single piece that shifts an outfit from "person in a costume" to "specific character."

Attach it securely if you're moving or dancing much, a tail that falls off or droops loses the effect fast. A belt loop or waistband clip holds up better than adhesive alone.
